what is the best p2p program. i had limewire but it kept opening without me opening it.

The best program at the moment is frostwire. and is made by the same people from limewire.

Bittorrent is simple to use.. Try diffrent clients and eventually u will find your favourite.

If you have cash, newsgroups are by far the best, you will see max speeds on everything. Second to that is bittorrent, get a membership at some high end private trackers and you will start to wonder why you ever messed with the spyware infested Limewire/Frostwire.

I'd say U Torrent, although speeds vary from very slow to very fast the chance of a virus is fewer as you can read other comments from users who have downloaded the file meaning that you know if the file is a virus and also if they have been sucessfull in using the file not to mention other helpful information.
As with LimeWire you do not know most of this information, but MP3's are great from here.
So basically - Software, Games, Apps etc. - UTORRENT
- Music Files, Photos, Videos - LIMEWIRE

From my knowledge you can't get a virus from known file types like .mp3 can you?

Not as far as i know, but they the baddies are putting the in .avi, .jpg and other visual formats. I have to disagree with you though, music is the only thing that is decent from Limewire.....over half of the video files are less than 100 kB.....which is obvious that the file is absolutely and the only thing that will come from the dl will be a virus or some more spyware. 99% of bittorrent files are legit, and as long as you have a decent connection, its a great source.
