Ok i have a pioneer DVR-k16A and I can't set my DVD+r's booktype to DVD-Rom in DVD Decrypter. I can set my DVD+RW's booktype to DVD-Rom, but I cant do it to my DVD+r's. I can do it on my other PC's burner but not with mine. Can you guys help me, I cant play DVD+R's in any dvd player i own except my computer, but if I set my DVD+r's booktype to dvd-rom then it playes in everything. Is there something wrong with my dvd burner. And dont tell me to update the firmware of my drive because i search and searched and can't find a upgrade. Just to tell you I'm using office depot branded media. It's all I have because I got it realy cheap. It was only $1.99 for 50. I dont think this makes a difference because it works fine in my other burner, but its good to give u guys all the facts.
I don't think that Pioneer supports booktype. You would probably be better off just buying DVD-R. I am actually impressed that Decrypter was able to booktype your RW. If you have Nero you could try it there, but I do not think you will have any success.
Pioneers will not booktype. Cheap media WILL give you cheap results.
Media can make all the difference. If you don't think so, then that is up to you. But if you think you will get different answers to what you want to hear, then think again, it WILL NOT happen......
Don't forget you came here asking questions, not the other way round!
Get some Verbatim +life or Taiyo Yudens.
I usually get those Tony Yuidens or TDK's, but how can u pass up $2.99 for 50 dvds. I didnt even have to use a rebate. Well any ways thanx a lot guys. So i guess I'll just buy DVD-R's next time. Oh and thanx again :)
Very easy to pass up $2.99 for 50 dvds, when you realize that after you finish burning the 50 dvds, you'll likely have to reburn all of them, because they become unwatchable after a couple months. Maybe sooner.
Been there, and done that. That's how I know..............
They are very cheap for a reason.
