I'm wanting to downgrade to 1.5 but as usual i'm a total pussy, my PSP is something that I can't replace easily if it did get bricked so i'm just wondering, what's the chances of my PSP getting bricked is it a 1% chance or is it 50/50?

I've gone through the tutorial of how to do it and it all looks very simple, although i'd crap myself while the memory light is flicking for ages lol. But I think the risk is worth it right? For all those extra features available to me...
I just don't have the cash to replace the thing if it broke (although i could break something inside and give it back to sony saying it suicided....)

Firmware - 1.0 > 1.5 > 2.0 > 2.5 > 2.6 > 1.5 > 2.6 > 1.5
I make my own signatures, isn't that an amazing and boring fact for me to put here? Don't PM me with an answer...well you could, give me something to talk about or you would probably be completely rude about the matter....just one more dot? ok ..... .

If you don't wanna risk it, don't do it. With the easy downgrader I think it's a 1% or less chance that you'll brick it. The final version is very safe, and 1.5 is very coveted. I'd do it if I were you though.

Well I'm on holiday atm for another week and I brought my PSP but forgot 2 things - the charger and the data cable (extremely typical of me) so i'll probably do it when I go home, I can't afford PSP games anyway so it would be nice to actually use my PSP for gaming at last. Oh and do ISO's allow for wireless/internet gaming? Just wondering because otherwise there is no point buying a WiFi MAX thing.

Just go get the unpatched GTA and get the easy downgrader, everything self installs and u dont really have to do nothing. As long as u dont take out the mem card or take out the battery during the light is blinking u should be safe, and even if it gets bricked people will buy it for about $50. And yes u can play isos Online against other people

Yeh I have the unpatched GTA, I just wanted to feel a little braver about my actions before I take them.

Indeed, follow the instructions given in the easy downgrader, and you can't basically do anything wrong, unless you switch the PSP off during the downgrade/Pull the A/C adaptor off.
