This is to help people who cannot charge their psp or play with just the ac adaptor. If you plug in your psp to the ac adaptor and you dont see that little charge light, or you just plug the ac adaptor in (without the battery) and you can turn it on, then you may have blown a fuse. I made this thread to help you fix that.

when you open it, you have to take out the lcd to get to it.

http://www.pspcrazy.com/images/fig03.jpg (this pic was taken from psp crazy.com, it is not my pic)

now when you take out the lcd, be sure to unplug everything that the lcd is connected to. then you have to take out the metal thing too. (when you take out the metal thing, you have to unscrew another screw under the void warrenty sticker. its on the right side this time.) after you do that, youll see the motherboard.

which looks like this:
http://www.newagepsx.com/images/uploads/pspfuses.jpg (once again, not my picture)

now you see the fuse that says power 2.5 amp? that is the fuse you broke. yup that little tiny crap stoped me from haveing my daily psp fun. now if the fuse is broken, the top of that fuse should kinda have a white t. if it does not. then it MAY not be blown. but i dont know. saulder the wire inbetween the two metal points and youre good to go.

note: you do not need to take out the mother board.

now you can get a replacement fuse, i found a pico 2.5 amp fuse online but i didnt buy it. if you are the worrying type, you should try to find a fuse that is small enough to fit in the psp and solder the fuse into that broken one. the fuse is just there so that if there is every a power failure like when you plug in the ac adaptor and it gives off too much volt or amp, then the fuse will break saving your psp.

if the fuse is not broken, then you shoudnt do this. this is only to help people that has that broken fuse. oh this can also work with the lcd and the usb. its the same concept.

This isn't really what I have wrong but if I start playing a game and THEN put the AC in the light doesn't pop up for some reason and the battery just gets really hot and gives me shocks threw the screw at the bottom of my PSP (lol, it tickles), it's obviously just trying to keep up with what the game is using in power but just seems weird the light doesn't come on =S, PSP still works and charges though so no real worries.

Firmware - 1.0 > 1.5 > 2.0 > 2.5 > 2.6 > 1.5 > 2.6 > 1.5
I make my own signatures, isn't that an amazing and boring fact for me to put here? Don't PM me with an answer...well you could, give me something to talk about or you would probably be completely rude about the matter....just one more dot? ok ..... .
