I'm assuming that's a typo and you mean "are" instead of "and", so it would read

"...features ARE useful."

The answer is a resounding yes. It does not get rid of them after you have them, however it prevents them from calling home. It SHOULD prevent them from installing (because it won't permit the connection!, but if they're bundled, then they'll install.)

Between Firefox+adblock and pg2, I can't tell you the last time I saw an ad, lol.

ohh ic lol, all those years ive been using pg for p2p only well i guess ill add those features,

LOL for me its I.E7+Google toolbar and pg2
