Has anyone tried this program. I am curious about how good it is. I have I know the best AnyDVD but have heard some about this program. Is it any good or is it a AnyDVD want to be. Does it conflict with any other program and I know it works with Shrink and Decrypter...

RipIt4Me works great. I have been using it since day one and have had not problems with any movies. I am preferring it over AnyDVD. It may take a little longer but the files come out clean and will open in any program you want, and it is free, free, free :)

Just finished backing up Inside Man, followed the guide here, It works, a little more complicated than anydvd/clonedvd but a good alternative, a good FREE alternative. I give it three sheep rating (out of four)

AnyDVD is transparent in the computer, requires no action on the user's part, Ripit4me, a few actions are required, that is the only difference, AnyDVD/CloneDVD2 will take about 45 minutes to process an entire backup project for a 8 Gig movie, Ripit for me/DVD shrink took about 2 and 1/2 hours for the entire process. Ripit4me took out a lot of wasted file space in the movie, compression quality seems to be a little better than CloneDVD. Both do great jobs on a movie, the cons for AnyDVD/CLoneDVD, price. Cons against Ripit4me, DVDshrink, longer processing time due to additional steps involved.
As far as post counts go? does it really matter? Most of us who have been here over a year know who the contibuters are, the ones who post something useful and helpful, but then again some of our posts are just off topic, humourous blurbs which lighten up the forums. Variety is the spice of life, keep the posts coming. I wish I still had the link, loved the one dude who posted the following, Quote: 'Sup?
Started a whole slew of flames and ridicule. I love this place.

I did Inside Man, full backup and it did not take that long. The rip took a little longer because of the insertion of dummy sectors, so it was about 19 minutes. You no longer have to use Shrink if you want, just uncheck the option to open Shrink after rip in the Preferences, you can then use Recode or Clone. I did use Shrink and it took 8 minutes to compress at the default settings. Then the burn took another 8 minutes at 8x. Not too bad a time. Your compress will go faster if you ouput the file to another HDD if you have it.
As I stated did full backup and did not substitute a still image for the unreferenced material, there was no need because FixVTS did a great job of cleaning the file.
You are right on AnyDVD does not have a learning curve, however if your file needs cleaning, AnyDVD will not clean out the cells, for that you need VobBlanker. You can use the ripper in AnyDVD which has FixVTS incorporated into it and does work as long as you check the remove blank or unreferenced cells. This is an older version of FixVTS and slysoft stated they have no plans to update.

Arnie, I think that you have hooked me on a better method of backing up movies, due to the Ripit4me cleaning out junk files in the original.

I really like the fact that they are making RipIt4Me versatile, you can now choose to rip Movie only, Movie+Menu, Full or do an iso rip, which is great for burning with imgburn. The Movie+Menu was something I always used Clone for because neither Shrink/Recode would allow you to keep the menu with only the movie, now I can and then use Recode/Shrink which are better transcoders than Clone. I still use AnyDVD, it is always good to know what protection is on a disk, AnyDVD tells you what you are dealing with and if you really need to get out the heavy duty arsenal to do a movie. You can never have to many burning/ripping programs, IMO :)
