A while ago i bought a PSP with 2.50 firmware on it and updated it to 2.60 to run a game i bought. Back then there was no way to hack 2.5 and especially not 2.6. Before anyone could though I had to return it for a refund due to my motorbike insurance being due and me not having enough cash. Half ayear later I have another, version 2.50. I've had a fair few problems with my PC since i returned my firsrt PSP and so have lost all the things I need to hack it. I've trauled forums for a while now and found nothing that makes any sense. I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me where to get a decent tutorial and the apps i need? Could they please PM, reply, or email me? I would like to play ISO backups of my games as i've already lost 2 of my games to a ravenous puppy... Thanks

yo can downgrade your psp, to play iso's etc, but first u need to find out what motherboard your psp has, theres a link to help u find out 1 sec will find it

Hey thanks for the speedy reply!
If i'm correct in saying this then I don't have that model motherboard as there is no code in the top right of the PCB. Theres something on the left but its obscured by the metal UMD slot interior, can't make out what it says. But i'm guessing it's ok as there's nothing in the top right.

ok i havent downgraded a 2.5/2.6 psp before so not too sure how it works but http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/361257 on tht link its all their! u'll need a copy of gta liberty city stories an old version as they patched it (so u can downgrade) have a read on that link its a Super N00B guide so should be straightforward!

nope there ent unfortunatly :( thats the only exploit found on 2.5/2.6, well tht they can use to downgrade :(

ok cool, thanks for all the help. Well i guess it'll be worth buying it, even though i hate the GTA franchise. I've seen the posts about the patched and unpatched versions. Is it certain that the difference in pictures on the back can identify patched and unpatched versions? (The plane picture being in the top right for example)?

hmm think its pretty clear cut, but it thought the ULES code on the side was different? so if u see the old ULES code tht shud def be the unpatched one?!
