i want to get rid of the 'system will now shut down' bit i have a normal ds i havent done nothing to it

Thats a double negative - so you did do something :P

but it can be rather annoying to have that appear when changing (or just viewing) the settings, but it's due to the fact the settings can cahnge the appearence of the DS menus, so the system has to be restarted for any potetial changes to take effect.

Maybe a future FlashMe could remove it, but that won't be for a while - if ever.
