When he loads a game he doesn't get the ordinary white PSP screen but a look a like of some 2 headed dogs, just wondering if anyone knew how he did this? Looks super cool.
Check out the vid:

(for the thing i'm talking about go to - 1:35-1:45 to see it)

Firmware - 1.0 > 1.5 > 2.0 > 2.5 > 2.6 > 1.5 > 2.6 > 1.5
I make my own signatures, isn't that an amazing and boring fact for me to put here? Don't PM me with an answer...well you could, give me something to talk about or you would probably be completely rude about the matter....just one more dot? ok ..... .

its called flashing a new gameboot. first you have to find a .pmf movie from an .iso or make one (dont know how), then flash it with something like x-flash. make sure its not over a megabyte and it has to be called gameboot.pmf.

that one could be custom made but it could be taken from a game. taking it from an ISO you take a .pmf movie under a megabyte rename it to gameboot.pmf and flash it with x-flash. my psp has the prince of persia gameboot where blood splatters across the screen.

So is it a devhook-only thing or does it take over the whole PSP?

with devhook you dont have to use x-flash you can just drop it in the correct firmware folder. however if you flash it with x-flash it will be on the onboard NAND (flash) forever until removed or overwritten. If you flash it then boot devhook you wont see it tho considering devhook redirects flash access to the memstick.

Actually I think I understand it, so this won't do any damage to the PSP?

it really is quite easy but when u mess with custom ones or ones that are over a megabyte is when u start running the risk of a brick. as long as its under a megabyte you should be fine. I have done this many times to many psp's.
