I've had this problem for a long time. Basically there is a small metal bar (no more than 1mm thick) under the [] button, it's not a big problem since the button still fuctions fine but i'm just wondering does anyone know what this is? This is my 2nd PSP and it's on both of them =S

i think that is the metal case that is under the lcd screen that separates the lcd screen and the psp motherboard

Happens on mine aswell. It's not a problem but makes pressing the [] button dodgy

I wouldnt worry about it much mate, infact as far as im aware it helps protect your lcd so if ya move it you could risk damaging it. Im assuming this after opening it up a while a go to have a look at it myself, so best to leave it there

What you see is the actual LCD tray that houses and holds the LCD. There is no removing it otherwise your lcd would slide all over the place. completely normal to see it.
