I got my PSP Back and woohoo! Sony hooked me up! with a @#$%ing 2.71. Luckily it's not a TA-082, but I called in and their stupid representatives don't know what they're talking about, or aren't supposed to talk about it. This is just a warning that if Sony says they might send you back a 1.5 PSP, do not believe them.

man isnt there some law against it? cos when you buy the psp you own rights to it , is that correct? if so then why can these guys get away with changing the software version of YOUR psp without asking you? its like if you send a ps2 in with a black controller your expect the ps2 to come back with a black controller. The firmware is not the prob its what ever the problem is. Well its acceptable if the mobo was damaged and needed replacing but if its like the lcd then the lcd should b fixed and sent back without firmware or any other part being tampered with. Then again dont ever be so stupid to think theyre gonna send you a 1.5 psp back so you can download all your games lmao its all about the money kid

yeah they shouldnt do that but have you checked if its the same psp coz my cuz broke his lcd and paid 90 dollars and Sony jaz gave him a new one...i checked the serial # and it was different so i know

No, downloading roms is illegal, even if you own it, but if the government catches you, you can just say you ripped it from your actual copy, even if you didn't. Also, thank you Svstang, you're one of the only people I know who thinks that homebrew isn't illegal. Just an F.Y.I: the copyright on the Nintendo NES System has expired, meaning emulation of that console on the PSP doesn't infringe any copyright laws. Also, i've seen the generation next console, which is a 3rd Party NES console at Game Crazy, which doesn't sell anything illegal. Hopefully Sony can get their heads out of their arses and realize that homebrew is what's making most PSPs sell.

NP, im sick of this, people argue when they have no clue what they are talking about. IT IS ILLEGAL TO RIP, DL, COPY, ANYTHING THAT IS COPYRIGHTED, EVEN IF YOU OWN IT!!!!!!!

Homebrew = apps and games not made by Sony...there are hundreds of LEGAL APPS AND GAMES, THESE ARE HOMEBREW!!!
