Nero will not install, neither the demo version!

I have Nero and was at a friends home and wanted to show him what a great piece of software it is. He has been contimplating in getting it and so I decided to download the demo version onto his computer so he can try it out. It downloaded fine..and while the installation...it went through the process of extracting the necessary files to install Nero and then nothing...it just stopped without an error message or anything. I looked under programs and the extracted files where under a folder simply titled Nero but the program was not installed. I ran it again and same thing happened again. What can I do so I can get this demo version to work on my friends computer...bc if he does like it he would like to purchase it and it wouldn't do him anygood I think if he can't even get the demo to work.. Any suggestions plz.

well...... you can start out by telling us what your friend's computer specs are..... what kind of computer does he have and does he have the minimum requirements to run Nero? or maybe the download was currupt.I would try to download again and reinstall.

Uninstall, run this clean tool,http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html to remove any traces and then try to install this version, which in my opinion is the last of the "stable" versions.
