GTA multiplayer w/ISO

ok heres the story, me and my two other friends wanted to play GTA Liberty City stories but we only had two umd's so i decided that since i had a 1.5 i would dump my copy to the memstick(yeah thats right im legit) so when we started the game i noticed that the iso was loading so fast that it would end the connection if i hosted the game, so i tried to host the game from someone with the umd, but the iso loaded so fast that it ended communacation and their games would start and it would say that i left the game, is there anyway that i could stop this from happening, sorry if there is a post like this somewhere in the database i was gettin sleppy. thanks

I've heard that when playing multiplayer you both a)need to have ISOs or b)Have the UMDs, I don't think you can have one player with a UMD and the other with the ISO.
Don't take my word for it though, i'm not sure.
