Converting 'video clip' files to DVD burnable file types

hi there i am trying to burn a dvd from 2 video clip files. how do i convert these files into .bup/.vob/.ifo so that i can burn them to a dvd in Nero?

also, do i need to join these 2 files to complete the dvd film or do i just burn then sequentially in the correct order (hopefully :p)
