mpeg 4 movies on psp

I have a 1 gig pro duo stick that id like to put a few movies on... not full 2 hour dvds but rather small movies consisting of maybey 20 megs... memory is not a problem but getting them to work however is... i drop them in the main folder when you sync ur psp... that didnt work so i figured i make a folder called movies (similar to the music folder) in an attempt to get them to work... my music (.mp3) work fine... with the movies im not sure if it is that psp dosent support the mpeg4 format or wether i need to be doing something else.
