i have a 2.5 japanese psp that has 2.5 when i got it i was wondering if it is possable to downgrade this psp.

yes i think it is as long as it isnt a ta-082 mother board. just download the 2.5/2.6 downgrader from psp-hacks.com
to check if it downgradeable theres a guide on here somewhere to check if it is a ta-082 mother board just use the search function

as far as i can tell from what i have been sent is that i can downgrade due to the face that i have no code on the right and a code on the left. also as far i i can tell i have the code "1C9001" so this is all good right ??

yep as long as you followed what the guide sed you should be fine so go download the downgrader from psp-hacks.com and let us no how you get on

make sure if you have a low battery plug your ac adaptor in and dont disconnect it while downgrading
i have also downgraded 1 jap psp myself everything worked fine

it is possible to down grade 2.50 but depends on what mother board your psp has if it is the TA-082 the the xtrusion downgrader will brick your psp i used the xtrusion downgrader it downgraded it fine

i got the "downdater" from psp hacks like you siad could you post a link with the instructions on it or are the instructions with the file i downloaded if so this will mean i need a rar file extractor and i can never seam to find a reliable could someone post a reliable one.

i thik i have aquired the downdater file. in this file is there two folders and two bin files the folders are named dump and prx and size on disk is 13.4 mb?
