i am trying to take my psps faceplate off and the stupid black screws by the battery got worn down and wont turn is there anything i can do please help apreciate it

lol ouch, well maybe try a pointed tip pliers and try the get a grip and twist it.

some times if you have a normal screwdriver instead of phillips you can get it into one of the grooves and get the screw out. Would invest in a better screwdriver like craftsman and see if you can get new screws somewhere.

yh i had the same problem, open up the rest of the screws, then after u dun tht pull the faceplate off, no damage will be done.

devz2k are u sure that will work i think it will break the faceplate which i dont want to do and i have craftsman screwdriver thats what i used but the stupid screwdriver wouldnt come out

i would try what i said.pulling things off with screw will usually wreck the plastic holes.

yeah i know you need a very tiny screwdriver, i used one with a tip with the width of about 1/2 mm.

Run by your local hardware store, and tell them that you have a bolt stuck, and they will give you a little tool that looks like a drill bit but is shaped with the teeth backwards, and that will drill into the bolt alittle bit, and then after it goes in a bit, it grabs the bolt, and spins it right out, but you will need new bolts afterwards.

They make that tool, I think it is called a tap, really snall....I have never seen a screw too small to tap out with one...It is worth a shot instead of selling a psp and then buying a new one.

i had the sme problen but i pushed by faceplate up and the unscrewed it i whackit againgst my palm and the screw fell right off and so this problem dont occer get another screw cos if the screw is damaged it will be harder to get off

yh i no, there is 3 on the faceplate and 4 behind the battery, in order to remove the faceplate, but if ur talkin about the whole psp i dnt no lol
