This thread is to tell each other about the life of your PSP.
I got my PSP with 2.01 firmware. After a week, i upgraded to a 2.60. Shortly afterward, i found out about homebrew. I tryed to get it to work but all i got was corrupt data. Then i relised that you needed GTA. So i went and got that. I have run homebrew fine. I not allowed to downgrade. Just recently, i modded the firmware. I now have the PoP gameboot and custom font running off the memory stick:)
I have 4 games (Lemming, Pursuit Force, GTA and Daxter)
I have a speaker set
I have a carrycase that can hold the PSP aswell as accsories.
I also have a Decal Girl skin and silver buttons.
I Love My PSP!

You still not downgraded ?
I have 2 PSPs, one which was 1.52 that I bought in Florida last year and the other 2.6 that I bought back in the UK....both now on 1.5 !
I have 3 UMDs (GripShift, GTA - Unpatched, and Pro Evo 5) and over 100 ISOs for it.....that's about it !

How I got My Psp
*Went to futureshop ,they were all out
*went to betbuy and got the value pack with no games:( a version 2.5:D
*Went home researched about downgradeing
*Went ebgames got my self the unpatched gta and sucessfully downgrade:D
*Got My first homebrew app Dechook and started playing iso's
LOL
I have 1 Game (gta)
And about 14 iso's

had my psp for just over 2 months or so,got it as the downgrader had just come out,so went and bought a preowend in the hope to downgrade and luckly i got one you can ;0)
i've flashed it with wallpapers on the 1.5xmb and changed the font,got devhook on it plus irshell,also play on some emulators.

i bourt my psp second hand off ebay iv had it 4 9 months and it was 1.5 after messing round with it n playing mario a few times n doom (not noing much about homebrews n stuff back in november)my girlfriend thourght it was a good idea to upgrade it with out telling me (surprise) she said............... o well im now a proud owner of a 2.7 and im not upgrading again unless they cant find a downgrader 4 it..:)

I went to hospital with a tumour on my kidney and decided to buiyy one of these things to keep me occupied throughout my arguous hospitilisation. I got the 2.01 and soon found out about homebrew once i was out of hospital...i didn't want to upgrade incase some downgrader came out...but my bro got a psp with MX vs ATV and Splinter Cell...and oh my god they looked good....so i upgraded to 2.6 :( One of my friends decided he wanted to sell his 2.0, but since he was an idiot i swapped him mine before he sold it. Now i have a 1.5, 10 UMD's and a few iso's...

my 1st psp was a 2.0 wich i snached of some fat kid had to give him a couple lumps but he gave it up then my bro stole it and gave it to his girl some bro huh. but some how that was the best thing he could have done since my mom let me get one of ebay with a 2gb then i bought 2 more psp's and some more memory cards so it all worked out o yeah thier all 1.5's lol crazy huh

Well I bought my 1.0 PSP on release from amazon, the value pack.
I took it out of the box and was amazed at the jump we had taken from crappy nintendo gameboy graphics to this!
After 3 hours of checking it out I left it on charge on my shelf, clumsely I nudged it when I opened my door and it fell to the floor, the clip that connects the PSP's UMD tray had snapped, I was heartbroken. But then my dad told me there was no visible damage whatsoever so he called Sony that night and they came round the next day and replaced it =D.
The next day I went out with my birthday money and bought Ridge Racer and MGA, unfortunetly I was dissapointed with both, repetitive gameplay and boring scenarios left me no choice but to give up, I upgraded my PSP to 2.0 still unaware of homebrew.
3 months later I went searching to find the best PSP games and noticed alot of forum threads about homebrew but by this point I was already a 2.5 PSP and the enjoyment for me looked bleak. I went out and bought Monster Hunter: Freedom and GTA:LCS and was extremely impressed with both, apart from their loading times the games were great and I was very happy.
Then last week I came here after 4 months of no PSP action and found out about the new 2.6 downgrade and was stunned, it was finally my time to realise the magnificent world of homebrew and experience the true potential of my PSP.
In 4 days I will downgrade and put all the crap I can on my PSP, and proberbly by an extra 2 gig MS.
The End =)
Firmware - 1.0 > 1.5 > 2.0 > 2.5 > 2.6 > 1.5 > 2.6 > 1.5
I make my own signatures, isn't that an amazing and boring fact for me to put here? Don't PM me with an answer...well you could, give me something to talk about or you would probably be completely rude about the matter....just one more dot? ok ..... . |

Hell my story kinda sux lol,
Bought it on 28th of July 2005 in future shop, richmond hill during my trip to canada...opened it up and started playing, it was on FW 1.51, played alot and came back to India and upgraded to 2.0 and by then had bought 14 UMD Games, learnt about fastloader and homebrew (complete no0b at it at that time lol) upgraded to the dreaded 2.5 and thought that I'd get to run homebrew and ISO, realized I was on the worst FW ever...PSP drops from chest level one day and many things inside come loose and the PSP doesnt turn on, extremely sad...go to $ony India and they say that parts arent availible in India...(dont know anything about opening up) Come back home and ask my uncle (in london at the moment) if I could take his 2.0 Korean PSP, he says ya...extremely happy! Learn about exploits, hacks for a week and the downgrader (MPH) the 2.5/2.6 hasnt been released at yet...learn that Im going to London go there and give my PSP to sony to repair...get my new 2.0 strait outta the box Korean PSP, play a lot of SOCOM online and on the last day decide to downgrade...(a bit hesitant at first lol!) then realize PSP-1006 isnt compatible with MPH (like F*CK) then learn about the SXT Downgrader lol use it and d/g, on the flight get upgraded to 1st class for free as Im still a minor and was travelling alone+ got to play my new DBZ ISO ;)

my story....
i saw it in the official ps2 mag, but the original concept design was alot different!
when it was released, i didnt have the money for one, and my parents wouldnt buy me one, so ive waited like till the past month to get one. The twist is, i was on holiday with my mates. There was an arcade nearby with a game that gave the oppurtunity to win a PSP..I was glued to it, but still only spent £4 on it, before giving up. THen my mate who owns a PSP had a go, first time, WINNER! and he won it, and gave it me :D A couple days later i went and bought pro evolution soccer 5, splinter cell essentials, a carry case with screen cleaner wipe, a USB cable and a 512mb MS..

I bought it the day it came out. Been on the PSP Scene every since. My duties lie at AD. ;)
I bought the £400 pack from Game, worked hard to save up for all that money, but it was worth it in the end.
At the moment i have These games on my Mem. Stick:
World Poker Tournament
Need for SpeedMost Wanted
Football Manager
I bought 9 DVD's of PSP ISO. from my mate, so they keep em company. Im planning to spend a bit more cash on my PSP with the llama mod which costs me £90.
I love me PSP!

my story
bought my psp in march 2005 india bombay and i had psp v1.5 and had i psp game nfsur i broke it and my psp survived without games for 5 months then came 2 uae and the i bought popr and then sims and then smackdown then gta the spiderman then matrix movie and then i learned(complete noob) v can run games through mem stick then i thought the games would need good v and upgraded 2 2.01 the worst fw and useless fw ever made then waited for downgtater and now i have 95 iso's
and abou 6 umds

I got my psp with firmware 2.01 from FNAC(Portugal),december 25.Soon i discovered the homebrew scene and bought my GTA:LCS copy and a 1GB SONY PSP MEMORY STICK PRO DUO.
But i discovered too that i couldn't downgrade and load isos with that version.That sucked.
The school started.
My school mate had a PSP 2.0
My hope returned.
I talked to him and he didn't know anything about the PSP scene.
I made a trade with him:
I gave him my "Best software and upgraded psp(lol)" and my 32mb ms and he gave me his "OLD" PSP.
That's my story.
Since then the PSP is my life.

cool lucky ur friend was dumb my friend is more dumb than urs he traded his 2 psp for a 2.71 psp and 2 games me and my katamari and lemmings and i even sold my 4gb mem stick which i bout for 80 i sold it to him in 190 he is 2 dumb and he doent know anything abou psp except he has the most advanced fw and he can play all umd games in it he doent even know 2 run video in it

How I got my psp...
Saved for a 360..360 had problems...Said I wanted a psp..Decided I wanted a 360 again...Had to buy christmas gift with my 360 money...Dad gets me my psp
I have 2x1gb MS with fifa street madden 07 and gretzky 2k5
and a 4gb waiting to be shipped from amazon

i got min ein mid-june last year as a 1.5 with midnight club and tigerwoods pga tour from future shop. upgraded in august of last year to 2.0 with the jap release for the web browser. then downgraded when the mph downgrader came out . i got gta in december and upgraded to play that, then downgraded again. i have about 15 iso's now
