I have downloaded a couple of torrents without an IP blocker, Peer guardian looks like the only program available does it work 100%? Is it required for P2P? Also I have seen Peer guadian 2 availble but not on this site is that better? I have Mcafee security center on my PC will that be a problem?

Thanks for ant replies

I read through a bit of the back log of previous posts and they didnt answer my questions. I know people on hear get sick of answering the same questions thats all. I have just been on the phoenix labs website and found a link with lots of answers too PG2, and have uninstalled mcafee firewall, It recommends outpost as firewall protection is this any good? Will it be ok getting it as a torrent?

Thanks for any replies.

PG2 is an IP blocker app, when d/l'ing it stops black listed IP's from conecting to you.

You could've kept McAfee firewall, I used Agnitum Outpost, its great, though its alerts are anoying, I use Kerio now, I prefere it.

PG2 is a p2p firewall, its not the same as Mcafee personal firewall, where does it say to uninstall it?

They are compatible, they are two very different things.

Make it block all lists, P2P, Goverment, Schools, HTTP, everything! :-)

Also, read:

Can PeerGuardian replace my firewall?

No! PeerGuardian has been heavily optimized for what it needs to do and is _not_ a replacement for your firewall.

QUOTE-----------------------------------QUOTE

Thats why you should keep McAfee firewall.

Just blocking government & P2P at the mo, not sure how you add to that list must be something to do with list manager.
I presume its working blocking 708907778 ISP Http is blocked & list manager-2 lists 2 up-to-date- 0 failed updating 0 disabled.
Is that ok.

Thanks for your help by the way.

Your welcome but you should block everything, open list manager and tick everything.

Keep it up to date and you are set.
