Please help!! My HP dvd 200j has been working fine up unitl a few days ago. Will read dvd and cd disks but get attached error when I try to write. have tried repair install of XP, removal and reinstall of Nero.... don't know what to do now!! Error is as follows:

Here you have Nero7 installed over Nero6,Nero6 has to be removed first, run this clean tool,http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Clean_Tools.html.

I personally do not recommend version 7.2.3.2, my suggestion is to uninstall it, run the Nero7 clean tool, http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then install this older more stable version, 7.0.8.2 from here

It is recommended to have a minimum of 512meg RAM to successfully burn DVDS, I would suggest adding a further 256meg.

have run the general cleantool but can't download the Nero 6 cleantool. Will this have done the job? Am now downloading the recommended version 7.0.8.2 from hippo but won't install until I know that 6 is completely gone. I was unable to write with CloneDVD either. Is this a separate issue or will doing the above resolve for both Nero and clone?

I cannot see too much wrong except Nero6 still appears, I would try for another Clean tool download and see if that helps.
I cannot find anything on your burners firmware so I assume it's current.

Formatted harddrive and reloaded xp and programs. No good. Still getting below. Don't understand why my burner has been working all this time and now won't. Any ideas?
