CANT SEE VIDEO ON TV

have recently installed Nero 7 Ultra. Have tried to view .avi files on my TV. get audio but no video. have been through and changed all the options in preferences but still no luck. Have Webtech BS Player 1.41 which works fine.
Can anyone give me some advice on what to do

does the dvd play on your computer?did you burn this dvd and with what program?, we will need more info in order to help you with the problem ok.

it relates to Nero showtime.When I load Nero Showtime and try to play an .avi file it works fine on my LCD but not on the TV. As I said I can load Webtech BS Player and it plays fine on both LCD/TV
