i have tried to write with pinnacle and clone dvd they both work fine they read the dvd but as soon as the programe starts my dvd writer then my computer restarts

hi :)
sounds like you are low or out of ram or to little HDD clear
you need at least 256mb of memory free and around about 10gb of HDD free to copy a 4.7gb disc, and no multi tasking during the operation
