I used this befor now when I install it it stops at the firewall setup page I've tried turning the firewall off same problem unstalled the firewall same problem unistalled program and reinstalled same problem I installed it a few days ago on a PC with windows 98 worked just fine I'm running XP
I had limewire too but it kept starting up for no reason and it didnt have the startup thing on so i just got rid of it. Just get Ares or frostwire or something.
Hey! I've had a similar problem with limewire recently. It kept starting up only a few seconds after I'd shut it down! I found out that the reason it was doing this was because it had a worm (type of virus i think). Running a virus scan should pick it up and you can delete it. I used avast. My Limewire works fine now!
However, I've recently discovered an even better media downloading centre which is better than limewire. It's called MP3 Audio Station. Yeah, you do have to pay a one off subscription fee of $34.95 (a measly amout I think) but you get unlimited downloads for free for the rest of your life! You can download every kind of music (they have like 800 million songs), movies, tv shows, games, files, software. You can even get anti-virus and anti-spyware software for free! It's got no adware and no spyware! I've been using MP3 Audio Station instead of limewire recently. Limewire may be free but I find that the song quality is quite bad. I've found that the song quality is much better on MP3 Audio Station and I can find a lot more songs than I could on limewire! I would definately recommend it to any serious media downloader like myself! You can find out more about it through my link at http://www.i'manidiot.com edited by ddp
