I've got a bit of problem with my video cards, i've got two nvidia 7800s running in SLI, or so i thought.
Before i went on holidays they were happily synchronized and running smoothly, now i come back and turn it on and nothing comes up on the monitor so i try one of the other 3 ports (2 on each card). I ended up putting the monitor into the other card, now when i go to turn on SLI, it says "Add a second graphics card for improved performance" even when i clearly have two cards in unison. can someone suggest where this phantom problem came from??

Re-seat both the cards, it sounds like it's only recognising one card. Make sure the PCI express slots are dust free, and reinstall the drivers.
