is there a way to update my hd advace 1.0? can i load hd advance 3.0 from my current hd using 1.0?

answer Yes but No. I did something similar.
I have HDA 2.0 and wanted to play GTA lcs.
I heard HDloader would play it so I found an ISO file of HD loader and burnt it to CD.
Then used SWAP magic (CD disc) to load my hdloader.
This then recognised my HDD and files that were already on it from HDA and played the game well.
If you have SM CD you could perhaps find & burn an ISO of HDA3.0.
In fact I might try that myself.
