I really need help with my psp...I have a 1.5 fw psp and everything works except the backlight becuz just one small pin broke on the connector..so does n e one noe a way of fixing this..or even how to power the backlight myself with a battery or sumthing....or even a really good lightsource so i cud see the screen?????PLZ i really want to play my games without looking at it in ma bathroom LOL.

umm i dunt think u should mess around the wires so u should bring it to sony n have them fix it. but if u want u can open up ur psp n have some1 help u out with it.

I dont have n e warranty on the psp...i just want to play my games more..um..visibly and since my backlight pin broke i need a new way to power it..or fix it...or a new light to see the game.C'mon..n e ideas?

there is nothing i would like to say to help, cause fidling with the hardware on your psp is risky business. But if your connnecter is broken...what was it stuck on by...was it just clamped?? or soldered?? If you have no warranty then i would look at trying to just fix that connecter. P.S you can pay to have your psp fixed, you don't need a warranty.

The problem with sending it back to sony is the might send a new psp with a ta mobo or 2.71-2.8 firmware

thats wat im afraid of...there has to be a way to power the backlight ribbon becuz my connector was clamped down and now its not...so if deres like an angle to put a flashlight infront of the screen or a type of battery to replace the power for it den tell me dem plz lol..

LOL..i c buh i styll need to no de angle of the light source cuz ..its an lcd screen so it needs light in all directions..but theres gotta be a way to let me see that screen..i think the voltage of wat the backlight needs is 3.4 v but im not sure...n e ideas?

well if you haven't fidled with the lights they should be fine anyway...all you need to do is fix that connecter.

I dont know if this helps but i heard that you can take 4 ultra bright leds and put them next to the screen and it will be equivalant to a backlight.

yeh but ive noticed that one of the small pins broke and i definitly have nothing to replace it....so im just trying to find another way to power it or use seperate led lights on the side wich might work ..i dunno..n e more ideas?

might as well get a back light of ebay they have um for about $10-$30 or try hexitnow he always has extra parts if not him ipirate
