AC Adaptor stopped charging suddenly

My psp together with the ac adaptor was bought 3 weeks ago and it charges my psp fine till yesterday, it stopped charging. I tried connecting it from another power source but nothing happens also. Is it because the adaptor's wire has been burnt? Is the adaptor's life supposed to be so short?

well it could either be the fuse in the psp or it could be the lil yellow adaptor on the bottom of the psp. more then likely the wall adaptor didnt mess up but anything is a possibility.

no i have had mine way longer and it works fine did you check it for any cut's? and are you sure its not the psp?

same problem, there could be a short in the adapter cord, there was a short in mine, when i moved the cord around, the orange charging light on the psp would cut on and off, just bought a new charger

Ok..it's working now after I leave my psp and adaptor untouched for 2 days. I think it's the adaptor prob..sometimes is can charge sometimes it can't. Geez.

good to hear its working but you should buy a new adaptor just in case never know when you realy might need to charge lol like un expected trips wont wanna have a crapy charger the huh

it can also harm the psp and while downgrading ur psp can bick bcoz of this

while downgrading if it stops working the ac adapter then the psp will brick while downgrading psp frm firmware 2.5/2.6 to 1.5 i read itt somewere in the forums

if its only been 3 week u shud still have warenty, if the problem comes up again dont fix it just take it to the store and u shud get a new charger and system, most cases theyll exchange everything instead of just the charger

do u twist the wires around a lot? this mite be the problem, the wires break easily

if the charger get realy hot while charging it also means the charger is defective
