Hello guys hows everyone?
Anyway I was browsing my local EBgames store and I came across a little dongle of an item called Wifi Max...lik-sang had this description when i looked it up...
Quote: At last, you can connect your PSP to the internet easily, cheaply and WIRELESSLY! With WiFi MAX, a whole world of online gaming is opened, and you can also manage your files and surf the net from almost anywhere in the house. WiFi MAX for PSP couldn't be simpler to use. Just plug your USB WiFi dongle into your internet-enabled PC to create a Wireless Access Point. You can then connect to the internet and play online-enabled multiplayer games with PSP gamers from all over the world. Just the thing if you don't have a wireless router! Best of all, WiFi MAX supports up to five ?local' PSP gamers at a time, so you and your mates can all play online at once! As well as multiplayer games, WiFi MAX also lets you organise your media files and download them to your PC using our exclusive MAX Media Server software. Transfer MP3s, images and video files from your PC to your PSP from anywhere that's within range of your new WiFi network. As it operates on the Wireless G standard, it's five times faster than an ordinary WiFi connection, and if you use our USB cable and dongle stand (supplied), you can position your dongle to maximise your effective WiFi range. If you have other WiFi-enabled devices capable of using the internet, such as laptops or PDAs, you can take them online with WiFi MAX too. It's the ultimate device for internet surfing without a WiFi router!
Sounds good when put out by a company who just wants to sell you the item and get your money...so I want to hear it from you guys.
Does this item provide realible WiFi connection for your PSP for your entire house or do you need to be right next to the hub?
If it works like a regular wifi connection with the same distance as regular wifi connections, is it easy to have your wifi stolen by neighbors?
Lastly so it works with the PSP will it also work well with my wifi enabled dell laptop?
Appreciate any help that can be given.

well i use the Wifi Max myself, i think it was worth the money, the only problems i found with it was how hard it was to set up on my computer, and you having to update the drivers(the ones that come with the wifi max sucks) other than that i get internet thats faster than my friends internet, and he uses a wireless router. the Wifi max is ok
yeah...im a newbie..a learning one teach me!!

Well, as of now my laptop can sniff out my next door neighbors wifi, works at 40Mbps though not the normal 100 cable has. So im thinking if i just hooked up my ethernet into the wifi max my laptop will recognize it instantly...Idk this thing isnt a necessity just a toy.
