i have a V7 fliptop using s.m 2.6 to boot..

most my games worked with fujifilm DVD-R burned at 2x

i got a new burner HP 840i w/lightscribe..

the least it burns is 4x... so i burned at 4x

i only played 2 games burned at this speed and they both are kinda laggy in the videos and game play... is there anything i can do to fix this problem? am i going to have to go back to my old burner?

my friend has a v12 ps2 and i burned games for him and the only media that works for him is cheap DVD-Rs that are like 6 bucks for 50... his dont play fujifilm that well but sony DVD+R works fine but a few problems.. what do you think i should do?

I'd say burn at half the media's rated speed. I tried burning a fre games at 2x and 4x with 8x discs, and they lagged and ran choppy. I then burned at 8x and had no problems since. Then again, I use Sony 16x DVD+R's.

yeah. maybe that new burner doesn't like sony discs? Try some TY or Verbatim and see what happens man. Keep us informed.

lightscribe burner dont work well with DVD+R burning anything other than Movies, i had that same problem but i use Sony DVD-R and it worked with no problem.

okay well the sony seem to work okay for my old v7 model... i tried verbatium lightscribe disc at burned 4x and 8x.. the 4x kinda lags and 8x seems okay but u can hear the laser do its thing so i dont wanna mess up my laser... but yea im not sure if they work on my friends... ill have him come over sometime and test it out
