I have discovered, finally, the wonderful world of DVD ripping and an eager to share my collection with the world.
So I simply want to rip a um....how can I say it, copyrighted dvd into either an AVI or mpeg format.
After trying four programs all refusing to rip my copyrighted dvd, I found one that would and can't remember the name of it right now, something like Xilisoft.
I have tried ripping in different formats, every format available with this program, DivX, XviD, Mpeg 1,2,3,4,5 however many it had, AVI and you know what?? I even tried different screen sizes, letterbox, original size, etc.
After playing it back on my computer, not one format looked as nice as the original dvd when played on my computer.
Any thoughts as to why?? I did try playing with the size of the file, went from 700 megs to infiniate and even the larger file had the same quality, in fact they all looked about the same and all just a tad poorer then the original.
