i ripped a dvd, red hot chili peppers live at slane castle with DVD Decrypter, converted it to AVI with ImToo DVD ripper and it turned out upside down. next i tried it with AoA DVD Ripper, still upside down. can someone please help me?

This could be codec related. Try install K-Lite codec Pack (full or mega version) to see if the problem can be solved. If not, some programs (e.g. VideoMach) can rotate the picture.

Yeah, I agree scf_au. Reinstalling the codec would be OK. After you install K-lite, convert your DVD to AVI and set the AVI video codec to DivX.
