Neocd Emulator Probs (Error loading ipx.txt)

Hi all. I've just downloaded the neocdz emulator for psp and downloaded metal slug rom for it. I put the rom in rar form but they can't play. They require a neocdz format..any idea how to run the rom?

first you need to find the bios and no we can link you to it.

what do you mean by bios? Any example how the format should be? They say I need neogeo.bin file

But everytime I try to run the game, I get the following error:

"Could not open IPL.TXT!"
"Error: Error while processing IPL.TXT.#"

What can I do to make it run?

Ive PM'd you a link for the NeoCD Emulator including the .bin file ! :)

Make sure you a using NeoCD roms and not normal NeoGeo roms.

thanks. Now the only problem is loading the rom. I unzipped the iso and rezip it together with the mp3..can't seem to load it. Keeps getting this msg: "reset caused by watchdog counter."

At the loading page there is an error msg showing "error loading mp3 cdda" Is this because I zipped the mp3 together with the ripped iso files? Is there a need to create a seperate mp3 folder?(eg. neocd.mp3 - read somewhere in the readme)

Its been a while since Ive played it so cant remember what exactly to do with the roms....but the files I gave you defo work as I have used 'em ! :)

Just checked and it's in the readme file....

Games can be zipped or unzipped.
Music in mp3 format have to be in a "neocd.mp3" subfolder.

Example :

/PSP/GAME/NEOCDPSP/MetalSLug/
+ mslug.zip
+ neocd.mp3/
+ Metal Slug - Track 02.mp3
+ Metal Slug - Track 03.mp3
+ Metal Slug - Track 04.mp3
....
+ Metal Slug - Track 20.mp3

MP3 Tracks have to finish by the "tracker number.mp3"

=> "mslug-02.mp3" is good
=> "02-mslug.mp3" is wrong

Now the only prob I have is this error when I load ncdzpsp: "reset caused by watchdog counter." Any ideas what this is? Also the rom settings and everything is correct. When I load another emu ncdpsp I get "Error loading ipx.txt".

Anyone know how to solve? Also, my iso is unzipped in a folder, they say if I unzip the iso, it'll solve this error prob but I still get it. =(

No, that problem usually happens when you use ZIPPED folders, but as you have said, it isnt zipped, what neogeo emulator are you using?

I'm using neogeo cd 0.5..still can't get it working. =/

I downloaded another one..one of them I used is urs..the other is the downloaded..both cannot work. o.O

I think I know where the prob lies..my ipx.txt is corrupted. There is alot of squares and funny symbols in the ipx file..so I went to another site to download and the game works! The ipx.txt is clean unlike this one.
