Hi,

I am having some issues burning a video complilation. I have the latest firmware, my video is not writing to the outer edges of the disc and also my DVD-R media is recognized. I have read the other posts about this issue and I have no clue as to what is going on here. Please help. Thanks in advance.

First comming to mind is you're using very bad media. Memorex is the worse, try using verbatims or sonys. If those at the begining are serial numbers, please edit and delete. Also try burning at a lower speed, say X4.

Forgot to mention that you have to update Nero to this versions:

1) http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe

2) http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

And before installing do a clean uninstall. See here: http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/enu/General_CleanTool.html

Hope it helps.

1) Updated Nero to the latest version.
2) Tried burning at 1x and 2x (lower speeds)

It still doesnt work... will try chaning the media (I wonder if the store will take it back).

Your drive seems to be up to the latest firmware, so I would only add to quit any other processes while burning, and of course use a different media.

Cheers!!!

yeah, there was nothing running (other than the basic processes) so I think it has to be media... will buy new dvd-r's and post here if I have any problems. Thanks Tranquash.

Okay, I bought Verbatim DVD-R's - 50 for $16 and they work like a charm. It was the media then...hmm. I wonder what I should do with the 50 Memorex DVD pack.

Yup! My experience with memorex was awful, I bought a pack of 50 and was able to burn only 6 or 7.

Cheers!!!
