DVD BURNER SOUNDS HORRIBLE

When I insert a DVD into my Liteon Burner, it sounds like it is about to jump out of the burner. When I finally open the disc drawer, the edges of my DVD look chewed up. What is the problem??

Newegg has other good deals that you can check out (they always do). Burners are too inexpensive to put up with bad table manners.
