that's not a gameboot, i forget what it's called though....
if ur talking the SCEA initial load before you get XMB anyway.
the game boot is when u start a umd or homebrew and it does the lil white thing w/ PSP written.

there is no way currently to change that screen. although u can download x-flash and "debrand" it so it will be blank. of course you need firmware 1.5 for it to work.

also if you dont want to flash it straight on, test it out with devhook place it in dh>271>flasho>vsh>resource.then when you load a game in 2.71 firmware itl have the custom gameboot aswell :)

x-flash really isnt risky. there is some risk whenever dealing with the flash but if you use the files that come with x-flash theres like 2 percent chance u will brick ur psp. when the risk starts comin in is when u use your own custom files. i have made my own and never had a brick tho.

that is a custom gameboot. you can download one, make one yourself, or rip one out of an iso. has to be megabyte or smaller tho. and with the file extension .pmf.

ok ive got quite a few questions sorry if im annoying you =)
1.I heard if you put it in a certain place its impossible to brick your psp is this inside Dh/2.71/flash/Resource
2.How can i extract a certain part of the football match?

1.) if your using it with devhook then yes it wont brick your psp as its only emulating the firmware and the gameboot that starts when you load a game.
2.) I have no idea about making gameboots. There is a thread somewhere here on the forums because one of my msn friends wrote it. I suggest searching.

yeah it wont brick your psp becuz its not writing it directly to the onboard NAND (flash). Its emulating the firmware and everything inside it, gameboot included, so you will be fine. It's good for testing purposes becuase of this exact reason.

I believe if u have a 1.5 and devhook you can just replace the gameboot in your 2.71 firmware folder. Just search your 'dh' folder for gameboot.pmf and overwrite it with the new one. CAUTION: gameboots should not exceed 1mb!! As it may brick your psp apparently. I've got the hack and slash prince of persia one...it's sweet as ;)
