After reading through most of all the stickies on the first page... I still can't a burned game to work on my flip top'd PS2.

I thought it was the media cause I was using Memorex. So I bought some Verbatim DVD-R. Got them in the mail today. Used DVD Decrypter to write to the disc at half the max speed... and it still tells me that the disc is 'Not a valid PS2 disc'

I don't know what else to do. It's an ISO of Sengoku Basara 2 that I torrented. I'm dying to play it... but I guess I won't be able to.

Please help.

And now I just burned the PAL version of Shinobido Imashime. Still 'Not a valid PS2 disc'

2 wasted Verbatim discs.

I'm thinking I wasted money on this project.

sorry, didn't notice the "flip top'd ps2" in your first post at first. Have you gotten any other games to work or are these the first backups that you're trying to get working?

These are first games that i'm trying to get to work. The other games I have are also backed-up imports, including: Battle Stadium DON, Naruto: Narutimate Hero 3, The Oneechanbara 2, Wrestle Kingdom, and Fi-Pro Returns.

God is punishing me because I'm a pirate.

Now I'm starting to think that it's my DVD burner that's a problem. I can't booktype to a DVD-ROM with my burner, and the only thing left I could do is rebuild the ISO.

I would hate to put any more money into this project but what's a good brand DVD burner to get for this sort of thing... and how much? =(

Can't really think of much that can cause this kind of problem. Did you put the disc in correctly? I don't know what kind of PS2 you got, but with the big PS2, when you swap the disc in, you have to make sure it spins around in case it gets stuck from the sides. Other than that, can't really help you.

Oh my LORD... WTF is going on.

Okay so I just got home... and I decide again, just to make sure that the disc was spinning, just as suggested by Akel... and now the freaking thing decides to work.

All I did was write the title of the game on the disc...

Well I guess I should just be happy now.

=) Yay, not a waste of money anymore!

Great... after all this time it was because the disc was off center and wasn't spinning. I'm a dumbass.

But now Shinbido (Imashime): Way of the Ninja is in all black and white, and it stutter too much.

Is there a patch for PAL games? And how can I clear the stuttering?
