First off thier is no way windows vista would run on PSP becuase you wouldnt even fit it on a 4gb memory stick plus the PSPs CPU could never handle that as it can barely run windows 95.

What is a portal? ~ Taken from ASR's readme. Not all Portals have the same functions.

What this is meant to be is an offline website, accessible at all times by your PSP. If you do have an internet connection, there is an assortment of links to help you through the internet without using PSP's dial-a-key-board, including fast links to e-mail, searches, and online messengers. This is accessible to anybody using the official PSP Firmware 2.00 built-in browser. (Release Date: "Week of Aug. 15th"

Is it "Homebrew" and will it damage my PSP?

It's not Homebrew, but they're "Homemade." As far as I'm concerned, no one has encountered any problems, and you can still update to future updates with it.

From the instructions that come with it...

----------------------
HOW TO INSTALL
----------------------
Run the installer, it will do the rest for you! (WvP Installer.exe)

----------------------
Change Password
----------------------
On your computer, go to the System folder and select password change.
The instructions and changing tool are on this page.

----------------------
Your name in the portal
----------------------
Edit "name.txt" to put your name in the portal. Only edit the part after the = symbol,
or it will not work!

----------------------
Change Your Background
----------------------
Go to Control Panel > Change background on your PSP, or save a background as
bg.jpg in PSP/COMMON/WVP

----------------------
Change Your Icon
----------------------
Go to Control Panel > Change icon on your PSP, or save an icon as
icon.jpg in PSP/COMMON/WVP
