Winmenc and harleygs custom firmware

I need winmenc to make custom gameboots and does anyone know how to use it as ive downloaded it and when i double click on it its just brings up a blackbox which goes straight off.When i downloaded it it was a .7z file so i rename it to .exe anyone know how to use it?
Also how do i use harleygs custom firmware im confused as i heard it can unbrick psp's is this correct?

Nothing can "unbrick" PSP's. Only the UP chip can save a brick.

actually i think that if you use the custom firmware mod you can restore it normal if you mess up your PSP.

ive been following this tutorial and on the last step i cant find the mps file anyone know where it should be or what it is called as i cant find it in the umd stream composer file

its there browse the whole folder..i found it but mine didnt work and i think mine was too small only 232kb...does anyone know whats wrong...

as a very cautious guy, i would like to kno how to unbrick a psp b4 i try 2 downgrade. also how much hex buys bricked psp's for.
I buy bricked psp's and screens.
