sorry for this post but i have searched and cant find my answer. i am trying to put movie clips on my psp 1.5 as the h269 files or whatever they are called. they are converted properly with super for psp. they work when i devhook to 2.7 but when i am in 1.5 they wont. doesnt 1.5 support h269 format. if not which format does it support?

Sorry i might be wrong here but as far as i remember 2.71 has more codecs to play i mean it can play more types of files where as 1.5 being 1 of the earlier versions can only play 2 types!{PMP and someting]

yea i know it only supports a few types of format im just not sure which ones. if anyone can tell me then i will just format my vids to that. Thanks.

not sure what h269 format is, but i use pspvideo 9 to convert all my movie files and it works fine on 1.5. it converts the file name to the corect one too.

h269 - H269 Intel - Conferencing codec. Not sure what the benefit of encoding movies with this codec is.

1.5's can only play MP4's can't they ?

thanks guys i will try mpeg4. the anv001 file in mp root is for the h269 files. that is what i got told to format my vids as. they work fine when i emu 2.7 but not in 1.5. i have also tried mp4s in 1.5 and they dont work either but they do in 2.7 mayby i will have to try video9 for formatting.cheers.

I think the AVC format uses h269, which will work on 2.71 but not 1.5.

natmaniac, when you encoded it with Super, when it says output format, did you put it as Sony PSP? Cos I encoded some AVC's using that, and they didn't work on my 2.71.

And whenever I encode an .flv to any other format with Super, the audio is out by like a half second.

But yeah, to answer your question, 1.5 doesn't support AVC, only MP4, or PMP if you use PMPMOD.

i have a matrix movie umd and it is region one it does not work on psp on fw 2.71 but it works on my psp fw1.5 when i emulate the psp 2 2.71 it says region not supported but on psp fw 1.5 it plays flawlessly
