no you can run homebrew on any firmware under 2.7

no you should never go to network updates unless you want to upgrade for some reason. 1.0, 1.5 ,2.0 are homebrew ready 2.01, 2.5 ,2.6 require an unpatched copy of GTA:LCS

i'm so confused on all this homebrew stuff all i want to do is run games that i downloaded of psp hacks, i havefirmware 2.6...what do i need and how do i get it?

Okay you can run some games and stuff on 2.6 without downgrading with GTA. What ever you do dont upgrade though. You should downgrade to 1.5 though becuase you can run every psp program plus emulate 2.71 to enjoy all of its features.

ok i just have one quick question, i saved eloader to my desktop, i click on it and it asked me if i should intall the "TIFF" version or the "GTA" version, should i do gta version?
