Hi all,

I was wondering if their was any way to remove a piece of audio when copying a DVD. I want to remove one of Richard Attenborough's swear words from the Flight Of the Phoenix ( the proper one not some awful remake which I will never sully my eyes with )before I send it to my nephew. It's one of my favourite moments from any movie but my sister will kill me if he repeats it. I normally frown on such censorship but he loves good old adventure movies and aeroplanes.

Thanks in advance.

Not while copying. It can be done but involves quite a bit of work.

Basic steps are:
Copy DVD to hard drive. Demultiplex video and audio. Edit audio track (inserting a "beep" or something of the exact length). Multiplexing the edited audio and video back together. Testing and burning.

Hope this helps.

Your welcome. Like I said it will turn out to be a project. I would recommend "high-end" programs to do the tasks rather than trying with some lesser quality stuff. You'll get better results.
