Hi FELIXMM,
Before we get deep into your log, go back and edit the serial numbers out of your post. It is at the begining of your log and looks like this
Quote: 1A23-
To the right of your post is a little pencil and paper symbol. Click on it, and it takes you back to the post where you can delete or type XXXX over the serial numbers.
Someone will steal your copy, and when you go to update Nero, your version will be reported as a stolen copy.
The firmware for your mad dog burner is up to date, but your DMA is off for that drive.
Quote: CdRomPeripheral : MAD DOG MD-16XDVD9A2 atapi Port 1 ID 1 DMA: Off
Thats not good, as DMA should be listed as ON. To fix this:
http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/FAQ.htm Go to #2 <2> Why is my drive running so slow now?
Quote: Last address to be written: 2286127 (508:01.52, 4465MB)
Change the target size to Custom 4300. This keeps you from burning to the very edge of the disc. In Nero it will be on the burn page and will probably list DVD-5 as your target size. This changed target size gets media to work, that might have failed before.
Try different media. Some Riteks are OK, but I like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. If you had made in japan on those maxell discs, they would be Taiyo Yuden or TYs. Best stuff out there. Verbatims are also good. Anything else, and your are taking chances with the media. Tys can also be found in Fuji, and Sony brands if MIJ is on the label.

I would uncheck that box, along with Verify writen data if its checked also.
You also have INCD installed, and it has to be removed if you want to use Nero.

Use Neros own cleantool to remove this.
http://www.nero.com/nero6/enu/InCD_CleanTool.html For 6x Nero, i suggest you use 6.6.0.18 as it is the most stable 6x version.

Ok, lets see what we can change on this last log.
Quote: Nero version: 6.3.1.25
The best version of Nero 6x is 6.6.0.18, and i suggest you update your Nero to that version.
Package 1
http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe
Package 2
http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe
Quote: CdRomPeripheral : MAD DOG MD-16XDVD9A2 atapi Port 1 ID 1 DMA: Off
DMA is still off for your burner.
Maybe this guide will better show you how to turn your DMA on.
http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/dvdguide005.html Basically you un-install the driver and reboot. During reboot windows will re-install the driver and it should show up as ON after that.
Quote: DVD-Copy on the fly
That method has the greatest chance of a failed burn. It is copying directly from the disc without putting files on the HD. Un-checking that box will make the copy take longer to make, but it works better than the copy on the fly method.
Quote: Disc Manufacturer: RITEKF - 1
Try different media, since you are still getting illegal disc error. You are still using the Riteks according to that last log.
Quote: Burn process started at 2.4x (3,324 KB/s)
The only time i ever go that slow is when i am burning a DL disc. You can safely go 4x or 6x.
Quote: DVD high compatibility mode: Yes
That is only used on DVD+R media. If you are using -R, un-check that box.

INCD is still in your system. It needs to go if you want to use Nero. Use the cleantool i linked before to remove it.
Once you have done those changes, post another burn log, if you continue to get "illegal disc".
Dont give up. Keep making changes, and post burn logs. I bet we will have you burning successfully in no time.
And if Nero still gives you problems, there is another way to do this without Nero. Have DVD-Shrink output to ISO image. Use DVD-Decrypter, or Imgburn to burn the files to disc. That way you by-pass Nero completely. I would still remove INCD as it is a packet writing software that loves to conflict with everything including Nero.
Hi Garmoon buddy. Glad to see you around here. :)
