hey... im sort of a noob in this port forwarding stuff and i cannot get it to work and its driving me freaking crazy. I am connected directly to a router(Linksys WRT54G). I am connected with a cable that goes from my router to my computer. So does this mean i still need to port forward?? as in with a cable from the router going to my computer. Does my computer still need to be port forwarded? I am using windows firewall, and Kaspersky. I have made the port 59767 a exception for both firewalls and i have also created a static ip and i have tried.... to port forward at least. I have followed various tutorials/guides with no results. Thanks if anyone can help me.

PS I really hate computers...

First off, there is no need for all those firewalls. Most routers contain one already and you have Kaspersky, so disable Windows firewall. If you have a router, no matter how it's connected, you need to port forward. Go here:http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Linksys/WR... find the program you want to forward, select and go from there. One confusing thing is it shows admin as the router username and says to use admin as the passwword. I thought it was admin as the username and the password blank but, regardless, it's one or the other. PS. not an issue here but if you are downloading use a port over 100000 that is not the default as quite a few ISP's block the defaults, I read.
