ive wanted to start importing some games for my ps2 for a while now. mainly arcade type games where i dont need to know japanese to play like KOF XI, guilty gear XX slash, metal slug 6 etc. i have an old fat ps2 and a new slim one, but i dont want to mod either one (soldering). i would like to use a boot disc like swap magic. i know about the slide card for my fat ps2 but ive heard from many people that over time it ruins your ps2s dvd drive because you pull it out. and ive been told swap magic is the best option for my slim ps2 but now i dont know if it will work. they said swap magic is only compatable with certain versions of ps2s but i dont know what version mine is. i have a model # SCPH-75001. ive heard it was a version 12 ps2 and will work with swap magic and ive also heard it was a version 13 ps2 and wont work with swap magic. so if anyone knows if it will work and what i will need i would greatly apreciate the help

I would get a fliptop (since you don't want to use the slide card, which is understandable) and swap magic for you fat ps2.

what about my slim ps2? what would i need to use that? i dont know what version it is but i listed its model number

Get swap magic 3.6 and the magic keys 2 set. www.modchip.com has em.
