ok first sorry if this is like the most asked question ever but i got swap magic today and naturally i had to wait ages to get it and now i cant work it. iv got the slide card thing all sorted out (i think). but every time i try to play a game i get this "Not a Valid PS2 disc" warning. Ill run through what im doin as quickly as i can.

First Dvd Decyrpter Mode-> Iso-> Read
It reads away making its File
Mode -> Iso -> Write
And Ha-za i have a nice Back up.
(by the way im usin Mr.DVD Dvd +Rw if that maters)

Second i load up Swap magic. In with the Slide card Pull Open the disc Tray. Push it closed and rehook the thing on the inside. press "X" and then a load of weird noises for about 20 seconds and then the warning.
Id be really thankfull to anyone who can help.

the problem could be the media you're using. Try booting a backup made on good quality DVD-R as rw media isn't read very well by most ps2s.

try using -r discs as they are the most compatible with ps2 burning them at no more than 4X. Also, memorex aren't exactly known to be the best of quality. you can check swapmagicfix.com to see if games need patches or fixes.

If its +Rs you're using, then you'll most likely need to booktype them to DVD-ROM before you burn, so the PS2 can load them. You'd be better off with -R, they dont need booktyped, and, unlike +Rs, all PS2s can read them.

Just a warning. Memorex might work now, but they will Not work in about 3 months. Buy some Sony DVD-R discs and burn at half the rated media speed. And about the .mds file. Select the .mds file when you burn. It contains info about the .iso file (or .mdf)
