The first thing you should do is download and install DevHook .46, this lets you emulate a 2.71 bios and play ISOs from a memory card.
Download it here:
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/673
After DevHook is loaded, then copy the ISO games to a folder called ISO on your memory card (if there isn't one, create it)
When you run DevHook, one of the options is to select which ISO to play. Once DevHook is running, you can switch between multiple ISOs on the memory card by holding down HOME and pressing RIGHT to cycle through. NOTE: You'll need one UMD GAME, not movie, in the PSP when running the DevHook or you can't play the ISOs.
Hope this helps, let us know how it all works for you.

NO! This doesn't mess with the original 1.5 firmware on the PSP. It basically runs an copy of the newer 2.71 firmware right from the memory card, so you can play games that require the newer firmware, but the PSP stays on 1.5

fanghi,
What do you mean? Are you saying that you can brick a PSP using DevHook? I've never heard of such a thing. At worst, you'll need to re-format the memory card if you screw things up royally. Plus if you use the Devhook Ultimate Installer that I linked to, it installs everything right where it needs to be.

I guess it depends on which games you're talking about.
If your talking about downloaded ISOs, most of the times there is a ISO or a CSO file, usually in the ISO folder. Ignore the other files, usually people package different exploits with the ISOs so you can run them.
If your talking Homebrew games, apps and emus, well that's a different subject altogether. ;)

Like TOny said, d/l Devhook 0.46, copy your ISO onto the ISO folder which should be present on the root of your stick, launch Devhook and use the appropriate settings and press START, you're good to go! There is a detailed guide here by xche...

Are you sure you have a 1.5 psp?
Because if you used the installer it's impossible to get that message.

You must have a sampler/game umd to get cso/iso games to work.
1st, make sure the iso/cso is in the iso folder in ur ms0.
> Ur devhook must be 0.45/0.46
> Ur devhook settings > Reboot xmd, 111/222 mhz, ur iso, remote ctrl, fw 2.xx, launch in 2.71

This is a clearer setting:
UMD-Select = Choose your ISO
UMD-MODE = UMD DISK
UMD VERSION = 2.xx -> 2.00
FIRMWARE = 2.71 (Choose 2.71, not 1.50)
CPU CLOCK= 111/222 mphz
BOOT SELECT= reboot XMB
