You do have your ps2 modded right? If not then you won't be able to play backups.

Right first things
first. go search a site that will sell you swap Magic 3.6
second. download Dvd Decyrpter (the origional, Not Dvd fab Express)slap your game into the drive (obviously) when dvd decyrpter is open go to Mode -> Iso-> Read
wait a while. the slap your blank DVD-R (apperently dvd-r's are better for this) into the drive go to Mode -> Iso-> Write
browse the file you made the first time by clickin on the little folder thing. it should be just in your c:\ or what ever your harddrive is caled. then click on the little dvd burner icon on the bottom.
and there you go after around 25 mins you have a nice back up of a game.

and believe it or not thats a very rough summery of what you have to do but it should do fine
