well last night i bricked my frist psp with the new 2.71 firmware downgrader but i upgraded my1.50 to 2.71 just to prove to myself that it wasn't my fuc* up and sure enuff it worked fine so im guessing that the psp musta been falty it was a prize so its very posible i have downgraded few friends psp's and has been sweet as so far. I had a dodgy episode with a badd gameboot! but thanks to haleyg's custom firmware :) all was well. But i was just thinking does any one know if any work is being done to unbrick a psp ? besides a chip of course or is it impossible? Maybe a program that can flash the psp off the PC thru the usb or sumthing i dunno its probbly impossible but ya neva know unless ya ask that wat mommy allways told me !!!!!!

Yeah i reckon it's a great idea i hope something comes out for it just for all the poor souls that have BRICKS! and just in case i ever brickd mine im sure sumone will be trying sumthing out i hope so!

and yet...nobody has said its impossible...

if we have all of these other bits of homebrew and hacking software for free then the person who comes up with it will b a real bastard for chargin

but even if he does charge (whoever this person might be...could it be you!?) someones gonna work a way around it and exploit that for free...welcome to the internet

I dont think it will cost a dime to be quite honest but i guess thats up to who ever makes it. And im guessing that sumone will b working on a project like this sum were would be cool to see and id say FREE FREE FREE!! :) and nooooo on the hackers hacking hackers lol thats not Kool were all one big happy family no need for that rubbish ! lol

It's possible. Like..trying to unbrick one psp using the flashback thingy..where you unflash the psp to it's original condition.

I myself have no idear but it sounds like if sumone could implicate that in to a program for the pc that automaticly connects to the psp when it is powered up it might work with sum twweeking. But i wouldnt know it sounds plausable what about a program that could run a update off the pc and flash thru the usb ? is flashing thru the usb evan possible?

It would be impossible to establish a USB connection if your PSP was bricked.

Here in Paris the MOBOs cost 45 euros, I unbricked my PSP after trying to cancel the installation of firmware 2.80.

well i supposed uve answered everybodys question rite there...i mean if u cant establish a usb connection and u cant do absolutely anything with ur psp if it is bricked then at best your gonna have to buy some furhter equipment or send ur psp away to somewhere to have it fixed by the sounds of things....

I was just reading on a site about the Undiluted Platinum PSP Mod
chip and it says that you can unbrick your psp with it wich i already knew. But what intrested me was it said its done it through the pc thru the usb so it is possible to flash thru the pc using the usb with the chip is this correct? Or does it just meen it flashes to the Undiluted Platinum PSP Mod chip thru the usb?
IF IT does flash to the psps flash memory does that mean it might b possible to make a program that could do this without the mod chip ?

na it flashes to the chip, which i think ( correct me if im wrong) then flashes the main mobo, if we could find out how it works then hackers can create summt outta it :)

yep ill hunt it down again sorry my bad half ssleep its getting late here
And i think that it mite have siad that it writes to the UPchip but im not sure and it would be nice to find out how it does it.like i said its gettin late or is it just that ive been up 4 so long i dunno i 4get lol
