I got a little bit of money for my birthday and I want to mod by ds before i spend it. I want to know the cheapest way to do it. I have a old ds(The big one not a ds lite) And i also dont want anything sticking out of the ds. So what is the cheapest way to do this?? Thanks in advance.

Also does wifi work with roms?? Can i play online with the mario kart rom?

Yes online will work. You will need a Passcard,Passkey, or some other thing in the DS slot so it will redirect to the GBA slot to play DS games. Checkout winsunx.com for cheap cartages. The M3 is the best solution for both GBA and NDS games. But there is a cheaper version that dont have GBA support, that is a M3. The Supercard is a cheap version that doesnt have as good gba support. Some uses a memory stick to put the games in some have fixed memory so u cant upgrade the memory. Have an idea first about the cost and about the gba/nds game and ask another question. It all depends on what u want.

No thats for the DS lite its shorter so it wont fit in the DS slot. And if u have a lite u will still need a memory card, Micro sd. For external memory http://www.winsunx.com/list.php?mod=629

thats a cheap way to go but u will need to buy mini sd.
