VCDVD, has anyone tried this ?

I was wondering if it could be posible to do a vcdvd, I'll explain a DVD-R with the folders of a vcd and the files encoded like a vcd... so in fact a vcd of 4 Gb... Would it work in a dvd player that is able to read vcd ? of course I spect to not change at all the vcd files so I supose it would have the vcd audio and sound quality, no more, no less... anyway, thanks for your time :)
